The SMART 150 TCM is part of our newest line of transmission control modules and replaces the popular SMART 100.1.  We took an already great product at an entry level price point and made it even better. Advanced features like active current monitoring, fault detections, accelerometer, increased performance, improved reliability, quality automotive rated wiring harness, it’s now virtually indestructible.

Description

The SMART 150 TCM includes the following features:

  • Stylish, rugged, mountable billet machined black plastic enclosure
  • Super simple to configure using our free Windows PC app with the USB port
  • PC Data logging feature for easier dial in of shift points and debugging issues
  • Shift solenoid current monitoring for short circuit protection, solenoid fault diagnosis, and faulty wiring diagnosis
  • Fully automatic mode with dual user configurable shift maps (sport and economy)
  • 3 axis 3G accelerometer built in
  • Adaptive mode allows for automatic switching between 2 shift maps based on driving style
  • Compatible with select transmissions that are electronically controlled up to 6 speeds with standard on/off solenoid control control with up to 4 shift solenoids (If you need more outputs, check out our SMART 250)
  • Programmable speed based WOT up-shifts independent for each gear change
  • Programmable RPM based WOT up-shifts independent for each gear change
    1-2 up-shift is user adjustable in 1RPM increments from 3000RPM to 12,000RPM
    2-3 up-shift is user adjustable in 1RPM increments from 3000RPM to 12,000RPM
    3-4 up-shift is user adjustable in 1RPM increments from 3000RPM to 12,000RPM
    4-5 up-shift is user adjustable in 1RPM increments from 3000RPM to 12,000RPM
    5-6 up-shift is user adjustable in 1RPM increments from 3000RPM to 12,000RPM
  • User configurable manual down-shift protection
    User configurable in 1RPM increments from OFF, and 3500RPM to 7000RPM
  • User configurable line pressure control (soft shift feature)
  • User configurable torque converter lock-up clutch control
    Includes green indicator LED to show when the lock-up output is enabled on available SMART2 displays
  • Stall up mode with hold in second gear feature and digital output control
  • Adaptive mode for dual shift maps based on driving style / conditions
  • Digital inputs and outputs may be inverted to better suit vehicle installation / desired use
  • Digital inputs are internally pulled to 5V and active when grounded, inputs are rated max 18V, if function is inverted and active when 5V or 12V is applied an external resistor to pull input to ground may be required
  • Overdrive off feature with amber LED indicator to prevent up-shifts to overdrive gear
  • 1 general purpose digital or PWM output that is user configurable
  • 5 digital inputs* that are user configurable, or used for shift buttons/paddle shifters, brake switch, reverse switch, shift map sport/economy select, auto/manual select, etc
  • 2 analog inputs that are user configurable, typically used for throttle position sensor and PRND module
  • Powerful MOSFET’s for even faster shifts with less voltage drop and producing less heat
  • Improved RPM measurement circuit for more accurate shifts and easier installation
  • Improved MPH measurement circuit with greater compatibility to sensor types including square wave or sine wave signals, VR sensors must use a VR to hall type of signal conditioner
  • Full line pressure up shifts when over user defined throttle position to prevent clutch wear
  • Torque reduction request signal may be sent to ECU to cut ignition timing to increase transmission life
  • Powered by a powerful high quality PIC® Microcontroller
